“From  today 1 July the average motor vehicle licence levy will drop $135 per year, and on current projections - a further $75 in 2016. This great news for motorists”, said Coromandel MP Scott Simpson.

“ACC was in a very poor financial state back in 2008 but now due to careful management ACC has become fully funded and stable. That means all annual licence fees can be reduced and families won’t have to fork out so much on registering motor vehicles.”

“There’s also good news on the health front with free doctor visits and prescriptions for children under 13 starting from today as well.” said Mr Simpson.

“These policy changes put more money in people’s pockets.”
