“There are some real benefits for the Coromandel in Budget 2016” says Coromandel MP Scott Simpson.

“The region reaps the rewards that go with a strong and growing economy.”

“That includes our share of the $94 m support for regional economic development and extra spending on tourism support.”

“I’m very excited about the $25 m that has been allocated for further investment in the NZ Cycle Trail project of which our own Hauraki Rail trail is an important part.”

“The Budget provides more support for the most vulnerable in our communities and for schools with students most at risk of not achieving.”

“There is a huge increase on health spending and that means more hip and knee operations.

“Overall this is a great budget for the electorate.”
