One of the highlights of my job is that I get to visit these groups and the people who give their time and energy to run them. My elderly father has been in Tauranga Hospital recently after a bad fall. My family and I are incredibly grateful for the care and level of service he received. Hard-working nurses, doctors and administrators across the country do an amazing job every day delivering better health outcomes for New Zealanders.

Easter Weekend was a reminder for me of how great our part of New Zealand is and why we have all made the choice to live here. What struck me was not just the brilliant weather (which we all probably take for granted), but the quality and range of the events that were on offer, and how they catered for everyone.
